MONSTERA PLANT Care Guide

Monstera (Monstera Deliciosa), also known as the Split-Leaf Philodendron or Swiss Cheese Plant, are gorgeous green beauties that are very easy to care for.

Monsteras are fast growing and a real must have for any indoor jungle, making them the perfect choice for a novice plant lover.  A little Monstera maintenance goes a long way!

Choose a location where it can receive filtered, indirect sunlight. Too much direct sunlight can give a Monstera yellow or scorched leaves.  When its soil becomes dry to a depth of 1-2”, water your Monstera directly into the pot so not to moisten foliage, and just enough to keep the soil from completely drying out.

The Monstera is somewhat drought tolerant, so no need to worry about keeping up with strict scheduled regular waterings.  Fertilize once a month during the spring and summer growing season. Keep the Monstera’s leaves clean and dust-free by washing with a cloth dipped in a solution of a drop of your favourite dishwashing detergent in a few cups of water.
